Hi Everyone!
Thanks for sticking with me after my last recipe-free post. (I’m not going to mention those who unsubscribed!). But really, thanks for caring about what I say here. My intentions are always to share what has been useful to me in the hopes that it is useful to you. In that vein, I am going to keep this post short and sweet to share with you something that has been very helpful to me!
Raise your hand if you ever doubt yourself? I’m seeing a lot of hands in the air. I’m the same way. Just a few nights ago, I woke up with a panicked thought, and instantly my body temperature went to 900 degrees, I had to flip and flop to quit from melting my bed, which left me THOROUGHLY awake. I went from sound asleep to bug-eyed and sweating in a flash. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Usually, this would leave me awake for several hours. But last night it was different. I am in the middle of writing a course alllll about self-doubt. I’ve actually just completed filming a number of videos for the course. I even talk about this night terror in the video!
My panic in the night was that the workshop was going to be a complete failure and I would make a fool of myself and everyone associated. As my heart was racing thinking about this, I remembered all the tools that I had created for the workshop and the doubt evaporated. Literally, it was gone! I knew that this technology worked as I had used it many times, but I was shocked to see it work during a night-terror experience. For anyone who’s had one of those, you know how extreme and intense they can be. It is not like normal waking fear.
The tools we have come up with are really powerful and I want you all to have them too. What has helped me the most is to see that doubt is not the enemy. In fact, if I pay attention it can become a great asset. It can help me course correct when needed, but doesn’t need to be a source of self-diminishment and judgments.
So, I’m reaching out to you all to let you know how you can participate. The course is called The Hidden Gift of Self-Doubt: How to Use Comparisons as Breadcrumbs. You get a 30-minute video, a workbook with practical exercises, and a 1-hour group Zoom call to go over questions and examples from the course. I’m including a link here so that you can read all about it and enroll if you want.
